The course aims to illustrate the strengths and weaknesses of the main modes of learning history: the traditional and the interactive.


Knowledge and understanding:
- Identify the epistemological status of the discipline and the teaching methods for its teaching
Applying knowledge and understanding:
- Understanding of traditional and interactive teaching, especially of the modular unit and the history laboratory.
Making judgements:
- Understanding of merits and limitations of the different ways of teaching history.
Communication skills:
- Their refinement through the presentation to the classmates of an history lab.
Learning skills:
- Their refinement through the costruction in class of an history lab.

Programma

The course aims to illustrate the strengths and weaknesses of the two main ways of learning History: the frontal one and
the interactive. The program will consist of the following points:
1) the subject of the discipline;
2) historiographical schools;
3) the evolution of the teaching of history in the Italian school;
4) the types of history teaching in the primary school;
5) the sources
6) the laboratory.

Attending students, face-to-face or remotely, who must achieve fewer than seven credits are invited to contact the professor by e-mail in order to define the exam materials.





Modalità Erogazione

The teaching will be held mainly in person. The lessons can be followed remotely in the forms provided for by the Guidelines approved by the Academic Senate.

Attendance is not mandatory

Modalità Valutazione

The exam will be written, in person, with open-ended questions. A question will be provided for each text to be taken for examination, to which the candidate must answer within thirty minutes.
