The teaching aims to learn epistemological assumptions and some operational techniques of social research, introducing the foundations of scientific and sociological knowledge and analyzing the methodological alternatives of qualitative and quantitative empirical investigation.

Programma
After an initial presentation of the main analytical paradigms of the social sciences, the lectures will focus on how to define a research project and the main techniques for collecting and processing the information collected. To this end, the research design (both quantitative and qualitative), the methods of empirical operationalisation of research , the main survey techniques (questionnaires, data collection, in-depth interviews, observation, etc.) and data analysis will be presented.Testi Adottati

Teaching will be frontal but students will be required to actively participate in the preparation of shared learning tools through the use of the educational platform formonline.uniroma3.it and in classroom lessons, building a autonomous social research project.
