Programma

The laboratory focuses on the nexus bodies/gender/borders from an anthropological and ethnographic perspective. The laboratory, which will be organized in seminar lessons to promote the class's participation, starts from the analysis of the concept of the border - understood as a social and geographical space in which social hierarchies on differences are produced and strengthened - to explore its temporal dimension, protracted suffering, and intertwined oppressions. In this sense, the border allows the analysis of the processes that make some bodies and subjects susceptible to violation and vulnerability. At the same time, it looks at the effects of border policies over time, especially on generations. The border will be seen as the social space through which to explore both violations and new forms of alliance. Video and discussion materials will be provided by the teacher during the lessons.
